Georgia State Senator Matt Brass

Senator Brass introduced SB 363 which would cut Election Day voting by one hour just for Atlanta voters.

This bill will make it harder for Atlanta voters to make it to the polls who vote after work, and may have a negative impact on the working class, African Americans, and low income voters — all who tend to vote for Democrats.

SB 363 was amended in the House to also cut Sunday voting in Georgia, a time when many African Americans in Georgia vote.
